Feeling drained? Dreading work? I got you. And you are far from alone. Let's work together to find how you can set boundaries with what's stealing from you.
To serve is beautiful, but only if it is done with joy and a whole heart and a free mind.
-Pearl S. Buck-
People who see me typically find me helpful as a social / normalcy barometer for whatever's going on in their wave of life. For many of us, that includes some level of work - and I (un)fortunately happen to have way too much experience consulting with:
- Deeply compassionate folks who have given so much of themselves to work, they've forgotten who they are without it (*parental burnout is REAL)
- Good people who give far too much of themselves to jobs they hate, they dread, make them cry or think of quitting each day
- Toxic CEOs and Complicit Leadership (*Note: Non-profit leadership, too, can mislead as motivations and behaviors can be cloaked by social admiration)
- Organizations who knowingly disregard clear, reasonable requests for employee mental health (Most frequently is using empathy as a motivator for behavior - like making you feel guilty for taking PTO)
- HR Departments who prioritize legal liability over addressing the mental anguish knowingly perpetuated by workplace conditions
